Hello Friends:
I received an email from Cassandra Kubinski yesterday. For those of you who don’t already know, Cassandra is an amazing singer/songwriter with a huge caring heart to match! I recently wrote a blog post about her and one of her songs, called The “PATH” To Creativity, which you can see when you click here. She’s about to do something she’s never done before and I’m requesting that we show our support for her.
Here’s the email she sent me:
Dear friends- –
Hope your week is starting out GREAT. A very happy belated Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmoms, aunts, etc on this list!
My email today has absolutely nothing to do with my career, or recording, or music (well, sort of). It’s actually much more important to me than that. This Saturday, May 16, I will be running my first-ever 5K race: The Music Row 5K in Nashville, organized by hit country artist Jo Dee Messina to benefit the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and cancer research. I’ve been a runner for years, but never entered a race, so that alone is exciting and nerve-wracking for me. However, I’m moved to be running for such a worthy cause. And I’m asking for your help.
Although I just found out about and registered for the race yesterday (Monday), I am trying to raise $250 for the cause by Friday. If everyone on this list sponsored me even by $5, we’d collectively go way over the goal. It would mean the world to me to have your support for both the race, and to see us all make an effort to support St. Jude and those kids in this way. I’m asking you to please consider making a donation on my personal fundraising page today, right here:

Again, please consider doing this TODAY (it’ll take 3 minutes!) so we can reach the goal by Friday!
More info on St. Jude’s:
St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today’s most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly. St. Jude researchers are published and cited more often in high impact publications than any other private pediatric oncology research institution in America. St. Jude is a place where many doctors send some of their sickest patients and toughest cases. A place where cutting-edge research and revolutionary discoveries happen every day. We’ve built America’s second-largest health-care charity so the science never stops. All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family’s ability to pay.
Thank you so much for your help and support. If you’re running the 5K on Music Row on Saturday, see you there! If you’re in Nashville, come cheer on the sidelines! It starts 9AM at Country Music Hall of Fame.

So, as mentioned, let’s show our support for Cassandra by making donations on her personal fundraising page today.
