Chalk on the Sidewalk by Daria Musk is the fourth song to be featured on my Blog as part of my mission to provide you with inspiration through songs that have been performed by musicians on Alive with Clive over the past couple of years.
Daria performed Chalk on the Sidewalk (formerly known as Chalk), the fifth song from her CD, Daria Musk, accompanied by Richard Musk, during her interview on Alive with Clive on November 21, 2008.
As aptly described in her Bio on her My Space page:

Chalk on the Sidewalk is a remarkable song that covers several thought-provoking themes. For example, it reminds us:
- To hold onto and nurture the childhood dreams we first expressed with chalk on the sidewalk, even though the rain washed them away the next day;
- That, with passion and inspiration, we can convert whatever basic assets we have into something that provides value to us and the world;
- That even if we have lots of material possessions, we will still be poor if we are not fulfilled; and
- To have the courage to overcome our fears so we can be fully self-expressed.
